Hi my name is Matt, and i found a way to remove the rogue malware "Security Tool"

Security tool is the malware that disables all your programs and your desktop

Go to your cdrive and change your folder options so you can see hidden files and "Hide protected operating system files" you need to check them then go to your

documents and settings > all users> application data > in that folder you will see an 8 digit folder

enter it and you will see security tool, rename this file to whatever you want

reboot your pc. you will now be able to access programs and your desktop

but then you go into the file and delete security tool and its folder then if you want to be sure do

run:

msconfig

run:

regedit

Thanks for reading this and i would like you to post a guide about it as hundreds of people are infected and have no clue what to do. <3 much love

Welcome to BleepingComputer. You mean post a guide like this? Remove Security Tool and SecurityTool (Uninstall Guide)

NO, My version..

I first found this site through that guide which did no help at all into getting rid of secuirty tool

my way worked for me and therefore should theoretically work for others

his guide tells you to use programs which are not accesable due to security tool.
