HiJackThis will not work nor will Spybot S&D.

There is an 'a.exe' file that has appeared numerous times and whenever I try to click a useful link in IE, it sends me to a false site so I've been having to use the cache and sometimes it won't even read.

Please help, I don't think I can take anymore Virus'.

Edit:

DDS - I ran the DDS and it ran as it should until it was time for the log files to open, they didn't.
Root Repeal - I also downloaded Root Repeal and only got errors like this before the program stopped working:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
01:53:21: FOPS - DeviceIoControl Error! Error Code = 0xc0000024 Extended Info (0x00000100)

Run this application and then immediately run DDS
If that doesn't work post back here

Rkill.scr
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.scr

When you double-click on the Desktop icon, a small DOS window will open and the application will run on it's own
It should only take a few minutes and it will close by itself

Do not reboot the machine

Thank you for the reply so quickly! And thank you for moving my topic to the correct forum.

I tried the RKill, it closed almost immediately and then ran the DDS as asked, it also closed immediately.

This is a new program, so I'm learning as I go
I had you try the .scr option
Try the other ones also. Just skip link 2
============================

Please download Rkill by Grinler and save it to your desktop.Link 2
Link 3
Link 4
  • Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
  • If using Vista, right-click on it and Run As Administrator.
  • A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
  • If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2.
  • If it does not work, repeat the process and attempt to use one of the remaining links until the tool runs.
  • If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know.
Do not reboot the computer or you will have to run it again
