I have over 50 running and slowing things down. How do I know
what is needed and how can I keep the others from auto run each
time at start up.

Thanks in advance, as always

50 processes is not necessarily too many. What you need to do is go through them all one by one. Do a search on the internet using the process name to see if you can find out anything about it and if it needs to be running. If you not sure about a particular process, post back here with the details and we can help you out.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
