So i did a clean install of my os.
I am woking on a dell inspiron E1405
Currently I have two pcs.
One used a usb to connect to the wireless cable modem gateway, a netgear wg111v2
and the second the one i'm fixing used what I believe was a wireless card to connect
to the network.
after the clean install in my network connections, I have
1394 which says connected. Yet it is obviously not connected.
and second I have local area connection "network cable unplugged"
I was connected before the clean install, not sure how.

can someone help me get this thing back online?

please-

-chris

Have you looked in Device Manager? You are looking for Unknown devices and/or devices with yellow ! Did the Dell come with a drivers CD? I am willing to bet you just need to install the drivers.

Hope this helps thumbup.gif
