I had someone bring over a machine with a pretty nasty virus last night. Usually the combination of Malwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware does the trick. This guy is a little more stubborn. Firstly when I try to run Malwarebytes, it goes for about two seconds then closes, I then have to re-install the program to get it to even come up again without the "windows cannot find the specified device, path, or file..." I was able to run a full scan with Malwarebytes last night and it finished with 657 error which it fixed, however, Windows System Defender still comes up. I am unable to access task manager, or boot into safe mode. I was able to run CC cleaner last night and it fixed 400 some odd errors. I have tried to go through the preparation link on the site but am unable to run dds.scr (just flashes the command window and closes,) RSIT, starts to scan and closes, so I cannot get a HJT log. I have downloaded combo fix but, haven't tried it yet. At this point, I am willing to do anything. I work in IT so I know my way around a machine, I have never encountered such a nasty little bugger like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
