After pulling what is left of my hair out for a few days googling potential solutions to my latest attack, I find myself here. I have used Combofix in the past, but never realized that there was a technical support forum here as well. I have some PC knowledge, but am not a genius by any stretch. I am perfectly willing to follow instruction!!

Welcome to BC
Actually we do not offer tech support for Combofix

The author of the tool does not want information on how Combofix works on public forums.
Please read Combofix's Disclaimer. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

The only public information that is available can be found at this guide:

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

I guess my post was somewhat misleading. I am not looking for Tech on ComboFix. Hoping for some insight on fixing a corrupted machine. Made a post in the 'Am I Infected' forum.
