Hi all
I hope someone may be able to help. While using Internet Explorer as my browser I was invaded probably by what might be called a browser hijacker, ad popups etc After deleting what looked to be the culprits, installing Mozilla Firefox and an updated Trend PCCillin things improved but when PCCillin ties to update it does not connect to the Trend site but a dialogue box pops up saying that information has been requested from pccreg.antivirus.com
Is this hard to fix?

If you think you are infected submit a hijackthis log here.

How to submit a hijackthis log

Download Hijackthis

Try running the following from safe mode Sysclean you'll also need the virus template file from here lpt***.zip

DrWeb CureIT

Also try installing and running A2 Free and Ewido

I'd also run Spybot and Adaware

If your using Win2K/XP run adaware/spybot from "safe mode with command prompt"

At the C:\ prompt type the following:-

C:\progra~1\spybot~1\spybotsd.exe /autocheck /autofix
