can anybody help me please. new here. anyway, when i click my start button, nothing appears. but if i move up to where "shutdown", "log off" and "help" would be and click they work, despite not being visible. i am using windows me

i thought i should add that i tried doing a system restore to a coulpe days before this started and that did not fix it. i also ran spybot and panda av and found nothing.

fixed it myself, ran a different virus scan online at trend micro and it found six viruses and deleted them, and after that all was fine.....for now. bleeping comuters, what an appropriate name people. thx to anybody who read my post.
