Intel DG31PR overclock

I've never overclocked anything. Well, I downloaded CPUcool, since I read in the internet some guys had overclocked this motherboard.
I want to know if I can specify any FSB number, in a intelligent range of course (not too high!), or if it accepts only some numbers.

Also, it's better to overclock from BIOS, right? Than with software.

I think I'm gonna buy a P5Q, I have a E7300, would it be nice? (3D programs (Sketchup, Modo etc.), not games).
