Hello all,

I have long just lurked this forum, but recently my grandfathers computer came down with some bad trojan. Nothing I had in my bag of tricks could get it. Until I ran combofix, I was amazed. So now I've decided to join the board, and see what I can do to help and give back. What I would really like is training on ComboFix. From what I have read in this forum and many others, the training is not openly provided. So I would like to know what I must do in order to begin training. I know this is probably answered somewhere, but I figured I'd throw it into my Intro.

Hello Love4StupidPPL and  to BleepingComputer! We're glad to have you with us.

Here is the link you need http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/86678/malware-removal-training-program/

Also, a little "insider info"

The program stays full pretty often because as quickly as openings become available they are filled (with viable applicants being accepted on a first-come first serve basis as I understand it). The way I got in is to bookmark the thread where the link to apply is (don't bookmark the link itself, as you possibly could run into cache issues) and check the link at least twice a day. It took me about two weeks of checking to get an application in, and then about 5 days after that for my acceptance.

Hope to see you in Study Hall!

~Blade

Thank you for the link. Soon after I posted I found it. I am waiting with great anticipation to get in. I'm already look at how exactly the batch files inside combofix work, but I'd love to have a proper training.
