Hi,

I've just had my hard drive copied to my new computer, but the techie who did the job couldn't download my antivirus programme from my suppliers (CA antivirus) so he installed microsoft essentials and told me it was just as good, and free. I have another year left on my subscription to CA antivirus so cost is not a consideration. The only consideration is - which will do the job best or are they really equally as effective?

Advice welcome.

Thanks.

Ylivanio.

Microsoft Security Essentials Overview is basically a stripped-down version of OneCare aimed at users who either canít or wonít pay for antivirus/anti-malware software.
