cant delete trojan

when i try to delete it it gives me a message that it may be used by another program and that access is denied even though im the administrator?

Have you tried deleting it in Safe Mode?

how do i restart in safe mode manually? i cant seem to find the option...

Press F8 when your PC first starts this should bring up a option to select "safe mode".

You may have to try tapping the f8 key like a morse key until the advanced startup menu appears. Using your up / down arrow keys highlight the safe mode selection and hit enter. See this http://techtalk.yourtechonline.com/forum_safemode.php

yes,you should try in safe mod...but before that why dont you see what kind of applicatoin is started..start->run->msconfig->start up...and you may see started processes in task manager...and if you see some suspicious process or started application-kill it...restart and then try to disinfect this trojan...give more info about it-for example name or smth other;))
