I ran firefox on my old computer and liked it...but i just recently bought a computer that runs windows media center. I've been told that it might be a good idea to just stick with ol' IE because the system is more dependant on it...any truth to this? or should i have firefox?>

thanks,cheers

Firefox is definately better for web browsing, but if the computer needs to use IE, it will as long as you don't (somehow) get rid of it.

Yeah go with Firefox or Mozilla either one
and you'll greatly reduce security risks on you computer
and you still can leave internet explorer on the computer
(after all its really hard to uninstall IE)
you won't have any problems with setting it up as the default browser
I like to use mozilla with the integrated email program
which has the benefit of giving something to use besides Outlook as well
so if you use Firefox you'll probally want to download Thunderbird as well
to get a email program too

I use Firefox over IE and Thunderbird over Outlook Express.

The only reason i use IE is if sites aren't compatible with Firefox. A lost of official college/survey sites or online courses aren't compatible with FF, so i gotta switch to IE.

Otherwise, i live on firefox..... GET IT

Remember, there is an extension for FF to view a page in IE!
