Hello. I seem to be having a very big problem. My icons seem to have multiplied and I am unable to use them at all. Also, I seem to have very slow response time online.
I have run Spybot and Adaware as well as Trojan hunter and Panda but the problem has not cleared up. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello kimber and welcome to the BC malware forum. I don't see anything in the log that is related to any viruses or malware. I do see that MS Office is set up to start 3 different times in this log. Let's take care of 2 of those entries.

Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:O4 - Startup: Microsoft Office (2).lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE
O4 - Startup: Microsoft Office (3).lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

Now close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair.

Now let's do a little housecleaning.

Download CCleaner and install it. Start CCleaner and click on the Run Cleaner button in the lower right-hand corner. When it is finished close CCleaner.

OK. Reboot your computer normally, start HijackThis and perform a new scan. Use the Add Reply button to post your new log file back here along with details of any problems you encountered performing the above steps and I will review it when it comes in.

Hi kimber. the log looks good. How are things running? Still having problems? If so, post back with the details of what is going on and we'll go from there.

Cheers.
