I got this laptop from a friend for free to keep and fix if I want it. It was workin fine for awhile, NOW it won't boot past the BIOS flash. Which means I can't even reformat or safe mode or anything. Any ideas?

Well, if it's worth saving(And I mean REALLY worth it), you Might be able to buy a new BIOS chip from Toshiba.
However, this is a rather extreme measure, and it might not even work (e.g: if the chip is soldered on the motherboard)
(Actually, it's probably not the BIOS, have you added any new hardware?)

Good luck!

It sounds like a major component like BIOS, CPU or motherboard is failing.
