At home i run a small domain with my family, & now i just installed a BDC with windows nt 4.0 server (the PDC is also nt 4.0) But this has been happening for a long time now, when i connect to the PDC, i use the ip of the server, not the name, & same with the logon scripts. but now that i got a bdc to work with i went to start > run on a xp workstation & typed in "NTFILESERVER" to access the pdc. Yet it came up the network path was not found, despite i type in the ip of the pdc, \\, and it works fine.

How can i fix this?
