Hello,

I have a new laptop computer with Windows Vista preinstalled. I also have installed and reinstalled my McAfee security suite, which was also included. I continously receive pop-up screens saying there was a problem with the McAfee HTML UI Container and has to close. It is very annoying, especially since I am in college and I have to research and write a lot of papers. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this McAfee HTML UI Container? I have no idea what it really is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,Try completely removing it first.

McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool (MCPR.exe)

The uninstaller software removes all traces of editions 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, McAfee Total Protection, McAfee Internet Security Suite PC Protection Plus VirusScan Plus Wireless Protection.

McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool: MCPR.exe

IMPORTANT: If your McAfee products were preinstalled by the manufacturer of your computer, ensure that you activate your McAfee subscription before uninstalling. Reinstalling from a CD or download only installs your McAfee consumer applications, but might not recover your paid subscription term information.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Hello,

I deleted McAfee as you instructed and I am still receiving the same HTML UI Container error. I was told it was a Windows issue. This thing is driving me crazy! I have Windows Vista, any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
