How can I transfer my files from a computer that crashed (says it cant find the hard drive) to another computer? I have a lap top computer which works fine, but the desk top crashed, can I access those files on the desktop using my laptop with a cord?

The above devices connect via USB to your laptop. The 2.5" drives are laptop drives. You need to check the connections on the drive to determine if they are PATA or SATA.
