I would really really apreciate some help with a few things, because I don't undertand enough to feel comfortable deleting stuff myself. I wanted to get rid of any old version of programs like i.e. Sun Java Also I wanted to see if there is a way of knowing if all the process running are legit and I ran home version of secunia and it found quite a few things that it says expose me to security threats (unpatched) but I'm not sure what to do from there to patch everything. Please Help!!! Thank you in advance...

When you see the list as shown in the example below. Choose 'Download Solution' to correct that vulnerability. Then follow the directions afterward when directed by the downloaded solution.

Java download/install at Download Java Software - http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp.

Flash Player download/install at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

There is no need to download either of these to your desktop, just install from the website.

The Secunia direct download works for most programs but it doesn't work for Flash. You have to uninstall the old version of Flash using the Flash uninstall tool and then install the new version.

Ok so it was a little crazy :flowers: I ended up finding and uninstalling IE 7, Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, Sun Java and reinstalling, but then I couldn't get IE 8 to launch so I completley uninstalled it and got the .exe off my laptop and completley reinstalled it and thats all working fine now...there are two unpatched/unsecure deals with IE 8, but its says there is no solution for them so..... So now the only program that is showing high security alert (unpatched) is Microsoft Access Snapshot Viewer, here it is:

Microsoft Access Snapshot Viewer
This installation of Microsoft Access Snapshot Viewer is insecure and potentially exposes your system to security threats!

Secunia strongly recommends that you update this program by installing the update that is provided by the vendor of this program.
Installation Path
C:\Office2003\FILES\PFILES\COMMON\MSSHARED\SNAPVIEW\SNAPVIEW.OCX Solution from Secunia advisory (English) (SA30883)
Apply patches.

But none of them work or are already installed so, dunno!
