I have the CD Drive out Can I open it without power ?

Tracking Problems with c0000218 Registry Failure,

I found after I got it to quick test, keying,(F-10), That there is something wrong with the CD ROM,
and or CD Drive,

Anyway I am looking for some diagrams so I can tell which goes where I have the wires marked, top bottom and floppy but not the hardware cases, I believe I have a place to get the diagrams, where the heck is the CD, it didn't spit out ?

I just got it out, I may be back,.. Thank you.

As stated Registry Failure, However I have another problem after opening the case, the first time, I only reseated the Ram but now I am not getting anything on the monitor,
previously I was getting a blue screen c0000218,

any suggestions how I can get back ?

I am getting two beeps one long and one short, previously when the screen was displaying I was getting zero beeps

Any one familiar with sea level weather, I have found what appears to be a bit of corrosive wear in the rear card seat. ? Checking to see what card it is ?

It is a modem connection type card, somehow I do not think this is the problem.

I have the Floppy Dive out
The CD R/RW Drive out
and the CD ROM Drive out

I know the wiring and where the Floppy goes, can you tell me which is on top the CR R
or the CD ROM ?

Do these drives have to be connected to get a display image ?

Got it Back it was the RAM seat, . . . Thank you.

Did I say I found the CD, . . Don't Ask, . .

But about the wiring I want to try and boot off of the CD drive and am not sure which to use, I want to put a disc in it after I sent the BIOS to boot off that drive, . .
in placing the two drives back, do you know the order top and bottom or does it matter ?

I am trying to find a schematic for this model.

You have to look at the back of both drives and see what the jumpers are set to
ie. Master or Slave

This is a hard drive but it's the same thing

The end connector goes to the Master [primary] drive and the middle connector goes to the Slave [secondary] drive

Or have them both set to Cable Select and it shouldn't matter
