I have several email accounts, social, business etc and it would be useful to get notification of when I receive an email on any of the accounts. I've heard about Digsby and was considering installing it but have heard about problems with spyware.

Can anyone advise if Digsby is safe to use or suggest similar software that is?

Thanks

Are you just needing an email notifier? Or do you need all the 'extra bells and whistles' too? Lifehacker didn't care for Digsby. See: Digsby Joins the Dark Side, Uses Your PC to Make Money

If you just need something to notify you of emails across all the accounts I can suggest better alternatives, such as: POP Peeper 3.5

I'm sure members will have other suggestions too.

Thank you for that. The Digsby information was very interesting reading!

Its mainly notification of emails that I need rather than all the IM stuff.
