how to change templates of blog without loosing widgets and data

i want to install 3rd party templates to my blog and i want to know how to change templates of blog without loosing current data and widgets......i am also displaying advertisements of BIDVERTISER...and i wnt to keep as it is in my new templates...

please help


i want to add this free template to my blog here is the link:

i want to also change these default buttos in the templates(see the screenshot).....could it be possible?

In Wordpress, you go into the admin options, select template, and select the template that you want. THe data is not attached to the template, so you will not loose it. You will have to re-attach the widgets to the new template.

You can change the buttons to anything you want. You just need to edit the template.

finally i got how to change MENUs BUTTONS in the Default templates.............here is the tutorial

#Log in into blogger
#Click 'Layout' tab
#Then Click the 'Edit HTML' Subtab
#Now click 'Expand Widget Templates to expand the CSS code.
#Find the following code in your template…

<li><a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl + &quot;feeds/posts/default&quot;'>Posts RSS</a></li>
