I want to build a custom pc by buying all the individual parts and putting them together. I pretty much know what i need, i just want to know if there are any obscure parts i should know about. please post a list including all of the parts needed to create a working computer.

EDIT: Moved to more appropriate forum

Don't forget, you need a budget and tailor the PC's hardware to what you're going to be doing with it. For instance, a gaming PC needs high-end stuff but a simple office PC can scrape by with with less powerful hardware.
