I had posted a question regarding some info on my computer and a virus, which I was told to start clean and reformat the hard drive. Before I do that, I had a question regarding java script. The javascript on my computer i believe is bad, which doesn't allow me to see anything interactive web base or computer. If that's the case is there anything I can do to fix it or continue on with the reformatting. I ask becasue I don't want to go through all that to possibly have the same problems again. can a virus kill the java script?

Thanks so much. I'm trying to look at all angles before I do the reformatting....this might not be the right area, but I posted here since it was due to a virus.

Do you have Firefox? If so did you install the program Noscript, or any time of script-preventing software?

If you did, you have to allow scripts from the sites you wan't to run scripts.
