I have a Dell Latitude-D800 Laptop and the hard drive crashed, I am trying to recover data from it with a usb enclosure but the drive has no pins, it has a connector like a sata drive but larger. According to specs this is an ATA/100 hard drive.

Does ATA/100 drives have pins or could this be an adapter connected to the pins,,I have both a 2.5 sata to usb and a 2.5 ide to usb enclosures and this drive will not fit either,,,,what am I missing here,,,

Thanks

Many/most Dells have an adapter on their ATA 2.5" drives. It pulls straight off.
