My desktop was behaving oddly yesterday, it was getting locked up, I was not able to click on anything, it was hanging up, with the cursor just spinning.
I booted in safe mode, installed a recent version of malwarebytes and ran a scan.
I think malwarebytes found something, but I did not write down what it was.
I did a system restore to several days earlier, it seemed to work, in terms of me being able to use the computer again, but the strange thing is that another laptop on the same network was having the same issue at the same time.
I don't know if this is relevant, but I was wondering if when computers get hacked/hijacked, sometimes those malware create hidden partitions from which to do their "bad" things from. I ask this because when I check my drives in administrative tools, there in windows xp home computer management, i see a hidden partition showing up that I don't think was there before. It's only 125mb, but I am not sure, but don't think it was there before.
The laptop that was behaving the same way, that's on the same network, also has a hidden part 1 GB in size and I don't remember it being there either.
I am attaching the DDS log
and the RootRepeal log as well.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!
