Please help. Every time I plug something into the USB ports I get Window recognise it then try to down load the drivers and come up DATA INVALID then shut it down. It dosn't matter if I have the disk or not the same problem comes up. This includes things that I have previously used fine on the PC. I'm not a guru so any help would be appreciated.

Open Device manager from Start Menu > Run and typing devmgmt.msc and pressing Enter
In Device Manager select USB Controllers
Right click on each one and choose Uninstall.
Restart and let Windows reinstall them.
