Windows XP Pro SP3 - logged in with local administrator account.

I have run into a problem trying to get the Task Scheduler service to start. I noticed it wasn't running while looking at some other services.

When I try to Start it, I receive this error:

"Could not start the Task Scheduler service on Local Computer."
Error 5: Access Denied

Here are the settings for Task Scheduler service:

Startup Type: Automatic
Log On: Local System Account ; Allow serice to interact with desktop.

I have searched Microsoft KB and tried everything I could think of to set/check the proper permissions. I have run out of ideas, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Louis,

Thanks for the input. That tweak deal with Task Manager, I need help with the Task Scheduler in system services.

That page definitely has some very useful tip on it.
