wifi problems please help

can anybody please help me, since last night i have not been able to connect to the internet, i have internal wifi, the blue light is on, it says the device is working properly, but i cannot get a connection to my netgear router, my router is plugged into my desktop working perfectly, i plugged the ethernet cable into laptop said limited connectivity???/ I am using a dongle atm and am at a loss as it will not connect to my network, it finds it but won't connec :thumbsup: :flowers:

Check your Firewall and if it is on, turn it off. Then, connect (if you can) and while connected, turn the Firewall back on.

That's not a SONY vaio, is it? I had some problems with one of those once (actually more than once).
