I just received a PC from my work where we were on a Network. How and what do I do to change the PC back to a single user? It has Win98SE as the running system.

This is a fairly easy process but you will probably need your Windows 98SE CD before you begin.

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network Options>Remove Client From MS Networks>Add Family Logon or Windows Logon (I can't remember which one is offered)> then it will go through the process then you will have to restart. At one point you will have to put the 98 CD in and direct it to your cd-rom to extract the needed info. Then you can remove any Protocols installed that are not needed.
The only needed Protocol is TCP/IP.

Yes
That is the full version and will work just fine.
When asked to put your Win98 CD in put it in click OK then it will ask for the source, here you will point it to the cd-rom x:\win98 (x = cd-rom drive letter)
