Hi, I have spent the past 2 weeks, trying to make a bootable XP PRO cd. I mean I used isos that were supposed to be bootable. I used Nero 7, MagicIso, and Imgbun, to make isos with a bootable img file added like Microsoft Corporation img, then burned the saved iso. I mean I tried everything.

To be honest, I don't really think it is possible. I know that making a bootable one is, because I downloaded ERD Commander and it worked like a charm. There either is some step that I am missing or there is only a certain method that works. I haven't seen that happen in my building and booting.

If someone could write out a tried and true method to accomplish this, I would be beyond grateful. I would even upload it and post in on the new website I am making. There are so many threads all over the Net, that say, this or that, is how it is done, but I have followed most of them religiously. I think there needs to be a template that would work for everyone who wants to make a bootable cd that doesn't have the original in their possession because they bought it used with no recovery disks or just want to make one incase theirs goes down or doesn't boot properly, OK< thanks for listening, hope you can assist me, delray

There are many ways to make a bootable CD from an .iso file, How to successfully burn or write an ISO-image to cd or dvd - http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm.

I use the Active@Iso Burner application because I find it extremely simple...same can be said for any method one chooses.
