Hi, I'm very new to this kind of thing. I've been spending hours trying to figure out the error messages and problems I am having with this PC. I stumbled across the utility called Hijackthis and it has generated a list of potential problem files. The log also says that, by themseves, these entries may not be bad, and should be reviewed by someone who understands them (certainly not me!!)
I'm hoping someone may be able to spot something in this list that is either a virus or a file that doesnt belong(or is potentially corrupt) I would greatly appreciate some help to review and make recommendations Thanks so much in advance

I am trying to upload the Hijackthis log file but am being told I am not permitted to upload this type of file

ANY SUGGETIONS??

Instead of uploading the file, copy the log, and paste it into your post.

Please do not post the log in this forum.
If you do, it will be moved to Misplaced HJT logs, with instructions which will tell you to start a new topic with your log in the appropriate forum.

The proper place for logs is HERE:HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal

After your log is posted, Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

Also do NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs,
use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a
HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in
system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications
you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the
malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

blackhawkbill has successfully posted a HJT log in the proper forum.
