mcafee antivirus not working, it states ; one or more problems requires your response.

My McAfee antivirus program is not working, it states ; one or more problems requires your response. None of my spyware programs are working either ... ???

You could try McAfee Virtual Technician which is found here:

On the right side of the page, choose Run McAfee Virtual Technician.

Hi, I tried running mcafee vitual technician, but while downloading, it just quit without any message or anything. I cant log onto sit because I just have the free temp version. This program was working fine for the last 2 months, but now something has happened. After trying this, I tried again to run a Quick Scan with Mcafee Anitvirus and I keep getting this error message;

An error has occurred

Scanning has encountered a problem from which it cannot recover. Here are the problem details:
-Error Starting On Demand Scanner

When finished, you will return to the Home window.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Mcafee 2x and get this same error.

You could possibly have a rootkit infection preventing it from working
We have been seeing a lot of that lately
