For some reason my desktop speakers for my laptop have decided to go mono. I use Realtek HD Audio Manager and have tried both my Advent and Genius speakers but both have suddenly change to just left channel use. I have tried to re-download the drivers. What else can I check please.

Did you uninstall the current drivers...and then just try to reinstall them (or update)?

I tried both. I uninstalled the driver and then re-installed it. I also used Driver Detective to try and update the drivers. The laptop speakers themselves both work and if I use headphones directly into the laptp socket those are OK. It just seems as if one channel on the desktop speakers has gone but switching the connections around I know it is not the speakers. Not sure where to look next really. Any help would be appreciated.
