Also my Firewall (online Armor) will not let me online using internet explorer or Opera unless I completely shutdown the firewall and close out of online armor. This just started about 2 weeks ago. I used the tutorial in finding out if any hackers are attached to my computer and didn't see anything suspicious. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Your firewall may be the problem, files within it could be damaged...causing your problems. Particularly so, since your system seems fine with it disabled.

I suggest uninstalling it (via Add/Remove Programs) and then reinstalling it.

If that brings no joy...I'd suggest trying either the Windows firewall or a different/free firewall for a given period of time.
