We are migrating from Server 2003 to server 2008. I have copied the users folders in the 2003 server onto the 2008 server. When I go to the user profile in the 2008 server to setup the profile location the 2008 server has this message
" The \abc\home\richard home folder was not created because you do not have create access on the server. The user account has been updated with the new home folder value but you must create ther directory manually after obtaining thre required access rights."

I am logged on as the Administrator. Where might I obtain the rights.

Hi, it is not a 2008 problem but I might suggest a share permissions issue. On the folder share try giving the "everyone" full control. (not ntfs)
