cheap computer ideas possible less than $400

my mom just needs a new computer that can handle all her work at a fast speed for under $400 (no gaming or anything, just work)

Well, here it is. Don't expect it to be great though. The most expensive part was the OS :thumbsup: You'll have to suck up and pay the 18$ Extra too :huh:.

If you're willing to wait until Oct 22nd, you can get Windows 7 for $99. Well, if you preorder it before the 20th you get that rate.

Well you can also save cost by installing Ubuntu for her, since it's near similar to windows anyways.

its really for my mom..she just needs is for transcription work....he computer now takes forever to open stuff and it is really really old, so she is just looking for a new pc.
