Is the transparency an option-can it be turned on and off?

I found this talking about the recommended specs

Desktop CPU: 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor with HyperThreading Technology 530 (or higher) or 3 GHz Intel Xeon processor with 2 MB L2 cache, or AMD Athlon 64, Sempron, or Opteron 100, 200, or 800 processor, single or dual-core versions.

Yikes

I believe you can choose whether or not you want to be in glass mode.

Are they promising us that Vista will be faster than ever? Because that's what they promised with XP (well, I don't know about their exact wording, but that's the gist) and well all know how that turned out. Heh.

Anyway, it looks good. Flashy.

Yes. "THEY' promised "US" that in Server 2003, XP, 20000Pro, Win98, Win95, and Win3.11!

Let's just ple one bigger disaster on top of another. Workgroups foundation was great. The bridge of building plug and play onto NT was great (2000 Pro).

Ask yourself this.. just EXACTLY WHAT are they offering you?
Anybody know where John Titors's '66 Vette is (or was, or will be)?
