Hi, I have an older PC that I just put a new GeForce 8600 512mb graphics card in, replacing a 64mb card. Now my older games are basically unplayable, they run like 3 times too fast (example - Command & Conquer Generals). I have downloaded most current drivers. Is there a way for me to slow the card down for certain apps, or a better way to address? many thanks

Its most likely cause when you have been playing these games you've had so much lag that it runs slow. 64mb to 512mb is a amazing increase in Video memory. I might be that the game your playing has a fast foward mode (If its a RTS game then check).

Thanks, but the problem isn't it was too slow before and now it's faster. The problem is it used to work great and now it's unplayable, everything is way too fast. I assume that there are settings for the card itself I can set, but so far no response from the PNY techies. I set the Vertical Synch (VSynch) 'on', I read on different forums that might help, but no dice. I find it hard to believe that a new graphics card can't handle a game from 6 yrs ago, I would think there has to be adjustments I can make. It isn't even that neqw of a card, 512mb is pretty tame nowadays
