I reimaged a computer inside my house (winodws xp, office pro...) and the internet works great with my inside dsl. I did NOT need to use the Yahoo disc for the internet connection. I had the dsl connected and it worked. I connected the same computer to an office outside that has a different dsl and the internet will not connect - why?

This may sound like a stupid question, but I need to ask anyway. When the computer is moved to the 'new' and 'different' DSL is the computer turned off and restarted on the new connection? Or is it left on and just moved? Assuming this is a laptop of course?

It's a 5 year old desktop compaq. I turned it off before I disconnected and then turned it on in the outside office. We have two different dsl's with yahoo because the wireless would not reach. The dsl's are two complete different accounts. The inside is mine and the outside is my husbands.
