Hello everyone,
I have been battling trying to fix my computer for the past four days. It started with my computer just restarting and then a blue screen would come up and it would automatically restart. After I would re boot I started to get these things popping up at the bottom of the screen saying my computer was infected and total security was start running itself. I didn't buy it and quickly began to search the web and see what it actually was. Sure enough it was a virus so I came to this website to see what I needed to do. I downloaded that Malware thing and it would load. I tried to rename it didn't work. oh yeah I also tried to do a system restore and it will not let me it is locked saying call my administrator. When I am regular mode I try to press cont alt del and the task manager doesn't pop up. It only allows the task manager to come up on safe mode under administrator. I have downloaded plenty of antivirus scanners. My mcafee isn't working, tried norton not working, pc tools, spyhunter. Some will actually load and scan and when it is like 75% done scanning it just disappears. I've deleted some of those long numbers like 12141123(stuff like that) under system 32 and now I am not getting total security to pop up but antivirus pro 2010 and microsoft phising... I have tried manually deleting things but that is too confusing and quite frankly I don't want to delete something that doesn't need to be. I hope someone can help me. I tried to avoid doing this, but seems like this is my last resort! I've also tried to d/l that gamer and everything that this site has suggested and none of it has worked! SOMEONE HELP!! Thanks!

Please download Win32kDiag.exe by AD and save it to your desktop.
alternate download 1
alternate download 2
  • This tool will create a diagnostic report for me to review.
  • Double-click on Win32kDiag.exe to run and let it finish.
  • When it states Finished! Press any key to exit..., press any key on your keyboard to close the program.
  • A file called Win32kDiag.txt should be created on your Desktop.
  • Open that file in Notepad and copy/paste the entire contents (from Starting up... to Finished! Press any key to exit...) in your next reply.

    --------------------------------------
Go to Posted Image > Run..., then copy and paste this command into the open box: cmd
Click OK.
At the command prompt C:\>, copy and paste the following command and press Enter:
DIR /a/s %windir%\scecli.dll %windir%\netlogon.dll %windir%\eventlog.dll >Log.txt & START notepad Log.txt
A file called log.txt should be created on your Desktop.
Open that file and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

Good Morning,
So I tried to run that Win32kDiag.exe program and this is what happened after I pressed the run button. A screen can up that said
C:\Docume~1\Admini~1\Desktop\WIN32K~1.Exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.

-- Vista users can refer to these instructions to open a command prompt.

Alternatively you can do this:

Please download peek.bat and save it to your Desktop. Double-click on peek.bat to run it. A black Command Prompt window will appear indicating the program is running. Once it is finished, copy and paste the entire contents of the Log.txt file it creates in your next reply.

If you encounter a problem downloading or getting peek.bat to run, go to Posted Image > Run..., and in the open box, type: Notepad
  • Click OK.
  • Copy and paste everything in the code box below into the Untitled - Notepad.
@ECHO OFF
DIR /a/s C:\WINDOWS\scecli.dll C:\WINDOWS\netlogon.dll C:\WINDOWS\eventlog.dll C:\Windows\cngaudit.dll >Log.txt
START Log.txt
DEL %0
  • Go to File > Save As, click the drop-down box to change the Save As Type to *All Files and save it as "peek.bat" on your desktop.
  • Double-click peek.bat to run the script.
  • A window will open and close quickly, this is normal.
  • A file called log.txt should be created on your Desktop.
  • Open that file and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.
-- Vista users, users can refer to these instructions to Run a Batch File as an Administrator.

Now that you were successful in creating a log you need to post it in our HJT forum:
First, try to run a DDS / HJT log as outlined in our preparation guide:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/
If it won't run, don't worry, just give a brief description and tell them that this log was all you could get to run successfully
Post them here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/22/virus-trojan-spyware-and-malware-removal-logs/

The HJT team is extremely busy, so be patient and good luck
