Wireless router

My wireless internet will start to download things but stop downloading; I have motorla with a D-Link wirless router. Whats the problem, for instance youtube will stop buffering and files will stop downloading at random points. Could this be an effect of my wireless router?

When your wireless stops buffering or doesn't download, does it show that it's disconnected in the tray icon?(In the lower right hand corner) If it's still connected, it may be your modem losing connectivity. I've experienced that alot but the culprit's usually my modem(Westell Versalink 327w)
