I have a big problem. I followed every thing I could find on your web site and nothing worked, in fact it has gotten worse. When I am on a blank desktop it is constantly flickering between the windows blue and that PSGuard warning. When I right click and scroll down to properties only the screen saver and settings tabs are there, nothing else. I normally only use Mozillia for a web browser, but one of the games the kids play needs internet explorer. I have tried all the PSGuard and security iguard posts, following step by step. I use Norton Antivirus, Adware, and Zone alarm. All up-to-date, the Norton and adware don’t catch anything, I would appreciate any help you can provide me, I rather not format the hard drive again…

Hello huntersly and welcome to the BC malware forum. I think there may be more than we are seeing here so let's run a different scan and see what it turns up.

Download WinPFind.zip and unzip the contents to the C:\ folder.

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:
  • Restart the computer.
  • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
  • Press the Enter key.
Locate the c:\winpfind\winpfind.exe file and double-click it to run it. Now click the Start Scan button to begin the scan.

When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder) back here so I can review it.
