Hi,

I'm trying to help my Brother In Law with what apears to be a severly infected computer. I found ComboFix after many searches with the problems he's having with AVG, SpyBot, etc..... the problem I am having is that ComboFix has found a number of RootKit issues - 18 to be exact. The tool suggests I write down the detail, then select OK..the computer reboots, ComboFix restarts, presents me with the 18 files, OK, the machine reboots, and we start all over again.

How do I stop this cycle and or stop ComboFix so I can utilize the RootKit tool to diagnose what the issue might be... ps, I can't get taskmanager to load, so can't Ctrl/Alt/Delete

Thanks in advance

Just close out the blue DOS window. That should stop the loop
Download the most recent version if you are going to continue to use it and be sure to read the disclaimer
