This is very frustrating. I just finished removing a rootkit and now this happens. I did not have enough time to clean up the computer per m0le's instructions.

This suddenly popped up and I do not know where it came from. Task Manager shuts down automatically and when I tried to install HiJackthis! The installer shuts down before I can even do anything. Programs just won't run at all. Is the computer a complete loss? I want to try to get a lot of music and documents out with an external.

AVG shuts down as soon as it loads up. So is Spybot/ TeaTimer.exe They all load up as part of the startup.

A sample warning message:
Application cannot be executed. The file wscsvc32.exe is infected. Please activate your antivirus software.

The desktop image has been hijacked with a blue error message and the background is filled with 0's and 1's.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
