Not sure if this problem is due to a virus or spyware, but I keep getting
kicked off the Internet. Just - boom - browser is closed and gone. Right now
I'm online (obviously) but will probably get kicked off any second.

I have Spybot, Adaware, Norton anti-virus, and am running Windows XP. Oh, and I'm connected through a cable modem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Karen

Run a Norton, Spybot, and Hijackthis sweep. If that doesn't work, what is your homepage? Are you running a cookie blocker (like the one built into IE)? Does it log off randomly or on specific sites?

Hi,

I ran Norton and Spybot and that seems to have helped.
My privacy is set to "medium" for cookies.
My home page is CNN.COM.
The logging off appears to be pretty random.

You may want to post a brand new log in the Hijackthis Logs forums so someone can take a look
