A couple days ago i downloaded a flash player from the internet. It was not a flash player but turned out to be a virus. As soon as the installation finished, a small window popped up saying "Warning, your computer is infected, now searching for the latest Anti-Virus". I had to restart my Pc to stop it and then i ran Norton System Works over night for a full system scan coming up with only a Tracking Cookie. I recently looked into the history of what Norton said and it said it deleted 2 Trojan.Fakeavalert's. Now i have no idea what that is, but the risk was set as high. Right now the computer seems to be clean, BUT, i cannot change the background. When i go into display properties, the desktop background is locked. I cannot change it or scroll up or down. Right now the background is white, and the name of it is "Critical Warning" with a little Google Chrome icon next to it. I run a Dell 8400, Windows XP Home Edition. Any help would be great. Thanks!
