No LAN Connection in Network Connections

I am trying to hook up my Xbox 360 and my PC with an Ethernet cable to use Xbox live, but there is no Local Area Connection in the Network Connections page.

I went to device manager and there is also no Local Area Connection listed under Network Adapters.

Any advice is helpful :thumbsup:
