.I really need help. On my new dell inspiron I some how crashed it with appcrash. will not let me do anything to correct it as far as my knowledge goes.
I have mcafee ultimate protection which seems to be not working. nothing is working. The main msg is the environment options cannot be found. If I scan with mcafee it shows Generic Rootkit.d!rootkit (Trojan) File:NTOSKRNL-HOOK which appears to be removed. now Mcafee cannot finish scan. I cannot use my cd/dvd as whatever keeps environment options cannot be found. I cannot get on the internet to download anything. It has taken complete control of my computer. Under problems and solutions windows states problem caused by dvix for windows. and Trojan.PWS.Legmir.AD?W#@.Ahlem.A@mm. I have been told I would need to clear my hard drive and reinstall Vista. I have no idea how to do this. Any ideas? I am unemployed and dont have much money. I purchased a 3yr warrenty from dell. It doesnt cover software. Any help will be appreciated. On problems and solutions there tons of problems listed and cannot use internet to correct. I have tried my reinstallation, in repair and installation.everything I try is blocked.
