Having trouble booting in safe mode?

I pressed f8 and chose start in safe mode but then it still wouldn't let me go in the administrator account, and it didn't even let me go on guest it said cannot connect to your SNES.. I had to restart and choose start windows normally to get back on. Any help?

Is there any more to the error message?
Do you have a game cube or Xbox attached?
